business achievement awards (baa)

BAA, also known as Business Achievement Awards, is a leadership development program that aligns with FBLA goals, career clusters, and NBEA standards.  In total, there are four levels of BAA: Future, Business, Leader, and America.  Each level requires a specific number of tasks to be completed in the following sectors: Service, Education, and Progress.  Recognition and awards will be received at the National level.

FUTURE

Future is the first level of BAA and is also the easiest level to complete.  There are no pre-requisites in order to participate in completing the Future portion of BAA. The BAA Future level focuses on basic business skills, introduces members to community service, and emphasizes the importance of FBLA involvement at the local level.

BUSINESS

Business is the second level of BAA and is an easy level to complete as well. The pre-requisite in order to participate in completing the Business portion of BAA is completing the Future portion of BAA. The BAA Business level focuses on local and state involvement, helps members develop intermediate business skills, and highlights community leadership.

LEADER

Leader is the third level of BAA and is more advanced than both Future and Business.  The pre-requisites in order to participate in completing the Leader portion of BAA are completing the Future and Business portions of BAA.  The BAA Leader level focuses on local, state, and national FBLA involvement, develops advanced business skills, and helps members become community leaders.

AMERICA

America is the fourth and highest level of BAA and is the most advanced BAA level of all four.  The pre-requisites in order to participate in completing the America portion of BAA are completing the Future, Business, and Leader portions of BAA.  The BAA America leader focuses on FBLA leadership at all levels, helps members hone advanced business skills, and instills a spirit of community involvement in members.
